The King of Clubs, Club 447 is based in Roseville, Minnesota. Meetings take in the Roseville Maintenance Building across the parking lot from Roseville City Hall, 2661 Civic Center Drive in the Walnut Room.  We are dedicated to improving the communication skills of our members in a friendly supportive atmosphere. We welcome visitors that wish to just observe the meeting, or would like to take part in any way.

We have information packets on hand to help you become acclimated to the Toastmaster format.

We provide a number of educational programs as well. On Tuesday, February 9, 2010 we began an eight week Speechcraft course (dedicated to teaching basic speaking skills). Seven students joined our class making this one of our larger classes.  They are off to a rousing start with students already giving their beginning speeches.

Over one hundred and eighty four students have taken this program, and have taken advantage of valuable discounts to become members of the King of Clubs toastmasters.

A unique feature of all King of Clubs meetings is all meetings are video taped. The edited tapes are telecast over KTCA-15 under the title of Adventures in Public Speaking. Members achieving significant milestones in their speaking courses received DVD's of their speeches. An excellent way to further their self-improvement.  Gary Kirsch was the most recent member to received a DVD.

We also had our club speech contest with David Nelsen representing our club in the Tall Tale competition and Dave Dollahan representing us in the International Speech contest.  They will compete in the area contest at  Rose Point apartments 2555 Hamline avenue in Roseville March 5th at 6:00pm.
